Sandpoint Idaho Film Fest (SPIDFF)
We aim to foster a sense of community, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire creativity through the universal language of film. We are committed to inclusivity, ensuring that every story—regardless of genre, culture, or background—has a space to be shared, heard, and seen on the big screen.

WHAT • WHERE • WHY

The Sandpoint Idaho Film Fest is a vibrant celebration of cinema in all its forms. In its inaugural year, this two-day event will bring films from across the United States to the scenic mountain town of Sandpoint, Idaho. From locally produced gems and gripping documentaries to high-energy action sports films, SPIDFF will showcase a diverse mix of genres. With 11 film categories, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Located in the Panhandle of Northern Idaho, Sandpoint is described as a lake town with a ski resort. Situated on the largest lake in Idaho, the Pend Oreille, and just below Schweitzer ski resort, this tiny mountain town packs a punch when it comes to local vibe, community, art, and mountain living. But where will the magic happen? Originally built as a vaudeville and movie house in 1927, the Panida Theater is our ticket to showcasing great performers and performances for audiences of the PANhandle of IDAho.
What's our WHY? Community, connection, and cinema. Movies have the power to bring people from all walks of life together into one space, connecting them through shared stories, emotions, and experiences that transcend boundaries and backgrounds. So mark your calendars—the Sandpoint Idaho Film Fest is set to showcase an exciting lineup of films for audiences of all ages in October, 2026.
